FAQs

Frequently asked questions

2. Are there dogs present at the salon?

Although I operate within a dog grooming salon, no dogs are present during cat grooming sessions. Your cat will be in a safe, dog free space to keep stress levels low and ensure a peaceful environment.

3. Do you recommend bathing for my cat?

Yes! Bathing is essential for removing dander, excess oils, and loose hair, keeping your cat’s coat healthier and reducing shedding and matting.

1. Are the grooming sessions 1-on-1?

Yes! All grooms are done one-on-one, so your cat receives my full attention in a calm and quiet setting. I occasionally have a helper on hand if extra assistance is needed for example, with particularly nervous or aggressive cats but your cat will never be in a busy or chaotic environment.

4. Do you offer dry grooms?

We do. We have just added a maintenance package to our services. This package is perfect for in between full grooms, for elderly cats or cats that can't be wet bathed.

Our pricing reflects the extra care and time we put into each groom. Cat grooming is a specialist service that takes training, skill, patience and gentle handling. Unlike dogs or humans, most cats aren't used to getting a professional blow dry. We use professional tools and carefully researched cat safe products, to ensure the best results.

5. Why does cat grooming cost more than I expected?
7. How long does a grooming session take?

The duration depends on the service and the cat’s temperament. A typical session lasts 1.5 - 2 hours. For heavily matted cats or those needing extra care, we may need to do their groom over several sessions.

6. How much does grooming cost?

Prices vary depending on the service, coat condition, and temperament of your cat. Please check our services page or contact us for a quote.

8. Do you groom aggressive cats?

Yes, but safety comes first. If your cat becomes too aggressive, we will stop the session and discuss the best approach with you. Some aggressive cats may require sedation from a vet.

Absolutely! We specialise in working with anxious, nervous, and rescue cats. We use gentle handling techniques to make the experience as low stress as possible. If your cat becomes too distressed, we will stop the session and discuss alternative options with you.

9. My cat is very nervous, can you still groom them?
10. Can I stay with my cat during the grooming session?

For most cats, it's best for your cat if you don't stay. Cats usually settle quicker an are more receptive, without their owner present. If your cat is particularly nervous or reactive , we can discuss the option of you staying nearby, to help keep them calm. Their safety and comfort always comes first.

11. How should I prepare my cat for their appointment?

Ensure your cat has had a chance to toilet before their appointment.

Keep your cat in a small quiet area of the house, before their appointment, to make them easier to collect for their carrier and reduce stress.

If possible spray the inside of their carrier with cat calming spray, before putting them in for their appointment.
